Ásthildur Lóa Þórsdóttir is an Icelandic politician who has served as a member of the Althing since 2021, representing the People's Party. Born in 1966, she worked as a teacher for much of her career after graduating from the Iceland College of Education in 1994. In late 2024, she was appointed Minister of Education and Children's Affairs, but she resigned from this cabinet position in March 2025 following public disclosure of a past sexual relationship with a minor during her youth.
