Sudha Murty

Sudha Murty is an Indian educator, author, philanthropist, and politician currently serving as a nominated Member of the Rajya Sabha. Before entering public service, she had a distinguished career as an engineer, becoming the first female employee at TELCO, and later founded the Infosys Foundation, which she led for over two decades. A prolific writer in Kannada and English, she has received numerous accolades for her social work and literature, including the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. Her philanthropic efforts have focused on education, rural development, and public health initiatives.
