Sugath Wasantha de Silva

Sugath Wasantha de Silva is a Sri Lankan politician and social services officer who has served as a Member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka since 2024. Representing the National People's Power, he made history as the first visually impaired person to be elected to the Sri Lankan Parliament. Prior to his legislative career, he was a prominent activist advocating for the rights of disabled communities and served as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Council of Visually Handicapped Graduates. His political work focuses on promoting inclusivity and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
