Sunil Handunnetti is a Sri Lankan politician currently serving as the Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development. A prominent member of the National People's Power and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, he was elected to the Parliament of Sri Lanka for the Matara Electoral District in 2024. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles within the JVP, including serving as a member of its Political Bureau and as its Financial Secretary. Previously, he was a student activist with the Inter University Students' Federation and served as a councilor for the Colombo Municipal Council in the late 1990s.
