Sultanbek Makezhanov is a Kazakh politician and a Member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan representing the city of Almaty. Born in Zhambyl Region, he graduated from the Tselinograd Civil Engineering Institute and has a background in construction and municipal administration. Over his extensive career, he has served as deputy akim of Mangystau Region and Almaty, akim of the Medeu District, and assumed his senatorial mandate in August 2020.
