Wi Sung-lac is a South Korean diplomat and politician who currently serves as the Director of the National Security Office. A career diplomat known for his expertise in North American and North Korean nuclear affairs, he previously served as the South Korean Ambassador to Russia and as the Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs. In 2024, he was elected to the 22nd National Assembly as a proportional representative for the Democratic Party of Korea, before transitioning to his current role in the presidential security apparatus in 2025.
