Surendra Mehata

Surendra Mehta is an Indian politician from Bihar and a two-term member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Born in 1959, he has been active in regional politics for nearly two decades, having contested elections from Barauni and Begusarai before securing his current seat in Bachhwara in 2020. In March 2024, he was inducted into the Nitish Kumar cabinet, where he serves as the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, having previously held the portfolio for the Department of Sports.
