Susan Bernard

Susan Bernard is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Maine Senate, representing District 1. Elected to the Senate in 2024, she represents a largely rural district in the northernmost part of the state, which includes the majority of Aroostook County. Prior to her legislative career, Bernard served in the Maine House of Representatives. Her professional background includes twenty years of experience as a television news director for WAGM-TV 8 and a tenure as a dean at Northern Maine Community College.
