Swapan Majumder is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Representing the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was elected to the Bangaon South Assembly Constituency in 2021 after defeating his opponent from the All India Trinamool Congress. In 2024, he was nominated by his party to contest the Barasat Lok Sabha constituency in the Indian General Election. Majumder has previously faced legal controversy regarding allegations of involvement in a smuggling racket in 2017, charges which he has consistently denied.
