T. John Schiavoni

Tommy John Schiavoni is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 1st District, a position he has held since 2025. A lifelong resident of Long Island's East End, Schiavoni spent over thirty years as an educator, teaching U.S. History, Government, and Economics in the Center Moriches School District. Before his election to the State Assembly, he served on the Southampton Town Council and held various local government roles, including positions on the North Haven Village Board and the Sag Harbor School Board. In the Assembly, he focuses on issues such as environmental conservation, local government, and veterans' affairs.
