T. M. Selvaganapathi

T. M. Selvaganapathi is an Indian politician who served as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Initially a member of the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, he later joined the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in 2008. During his career, he served as the Minister of Local Administration in the Jayalalitha government from 1991 to 1996. In 2014, he became the first politician from Tamil Nadu to be disqualified from Parliament following a corruption conviction, though he has since been acquitted in several legal cases, including the 1995 cremation shed scam.
