Keiichiro Tachibana is a Japanese politician and member of the Liberal Democratic Party currently serving in the House of Representatives. Born in Takaoka, Toyama, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and initially worked for the Hokkaido Development Agency before transitioning to the private sector as an executive in the logistics industry. He served as the Mayor of Takaoka from 2004 to 2009. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held significant roles including Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, State Minister for Reconstruction, and Chairman of the Committee on Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. He has also served as Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary. Tachibana is known for his support of constitutional reform and has been active in various policy areas including local government and administrative evaluation.
