森中高史

Takafumi Morinaka is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Moriyama City in Shiga Prefecture. Born in Koganei, Tokyo, he graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law before joining the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2002. Throughout his career, he held various administrative roles, including positions in the Cabinet Secretariat, where he assisted with crisis management during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and served in the Shiga Prefectural Government. He retired from the ministry in 2022 and was elected Mayor of Moriyama in January 2023, assuming office in February of that year.
