石田嵩人

Takato Ishida is the Governor of Fukui Prefecture, having been elected in January 2026 as the youngest serving prefectural governor in Japan and the first born in the Heisei era. A former career diplomat, he served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including postings in Zambia and Australia, and held positions in the North American and Asian and Oceanian Affairs bureaus. Ishida holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies.
