Takashi Kamimura is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kyotanabe in Kyoto Prefecture. Born in 1972 in the former Tanabe Town, he graduated from Doshisha University with a degree in political science and later completed a master's program in policy studies. Kamimura began his political career as a member of the Kyotanabe City Council in 1999, followed by three terms as a member of the Kyoto Prefectural Assembly. After an unsuccessful bid for mayor in 2015, he was elected as the Mayor of Kyotanabe in 2019 and was re-elected unopposed in 2023.
