Takehide Shimakawa is a Japanese politician and former comedian who currently serves as a member of the Toyama Prefectural Assembly. Born in Takaoka, Toyama, he graduated from Waseda University and initially gained prominence as a member of the comedy duo 'Haha-gokoro'. After a successful career in entertainment, he transitioned into politics, winning a seat on the Takaoka City Council in 2021 with a record number of votes. In 2023, he was elected to the Toyama Prefectural Assembly, where he continues to represent the Takaoka constituency as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.
