Tamah Alley is a New Zealand politician who became the first female Mayor of Central Otago in October 2024. Before entering local government, she served for 12 years as a police constable in Auckland and Alexandra. Alley previously served two terms as a councillor for the Vincent Ward on the Central Otago District Council and chaired the Vincent Community Board. As mayor, she has focused on addressing infrastructure investment, managing rate increases, and fostering regional partnerships for water services and economic development.
