Taro Aso is a veteran Japanese politician and business executive who has served as the 92nd Prime Minister of Japan. A long-standing member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he has held numerous high-level government positions, including Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Minister for Foreign Affairs. A descendant of a prominent political family, Aso began his career in the private sector before entering the Diet in 1979. Throughout his career, he has been a key figure in the Liberal Democratic Party, serving as its President, Secretary-General, and currently as a senior party advisor. Known for his background in competitive clay shooting, having represented Japan in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, he remains one of the most influential and longest-serving lawmakers in the Japanese parliament.
