本田太郎

Taro Honda is a Japanese politician and lawyer serving as a member of the House of Representatives. A graduate of the University of Tokyo, he previously worked in the financial sector at Citigroup Securities and Monex Securities before becoming a lawyer. He began his political career as a member of the Kyoto Prefectural Assembly before being elected to the national Diet. Honda has held several government positions, including Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and State Minister of Defense. Politically, he supports Abenomics, constitutional reform, and the strengthening of Japan's defense capabilities, while advocating for the restart of nuclear power plants that meet safety standards and the expansion of free education.
