Tashi Wangmo is a Bhutanese politician serving as a member of the National Council of Bhutan. Born in 1973, she earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wollongong and a Master in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo. Before her appointment to the National Council in 2008 as a special nominee of the King of Bhutan, she worked as an assistant engineer and headed the Policy and Planning Division in the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources. She was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2010 and retained her council seat through subsequent elections.
