Dimple Thapa is a Bhutanese politician and the Minister of Education and Skills Development. Before entering politics, she served as a civil servant, working as a Chief Forestry Officer within the Department of Forests and Park Services. She holds academic degrees in forestry from the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry in India and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Elected to the National Assembly in 2024, she is a notable figure in Bhutanese politics as the only woman in Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay's cabinet.
