Tatsuro Mine is a Japanese politician and pharmacist currently serving as the Mayor of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. Born in Karatsu, he graduated from the Daiichi University of Pharmacy and previously worked as a pharmacist. He began his political career as a member of the Karatsu City Council and later served three terms in the Saga Prefectural Assembly. First elected as Mayor of Karatsu in 2017, he has since been re-elected, most recently in 2025. During his tenure, he has overseen the introduction of a partnership oath system for same-sex couples and maintained a position of conditional approval regarding the restart of the Genkai Nuclear Power Plant.
