Teresa Martinez

Teresa Martinez is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives for the 16th legislative district. Initially appointed to the seat in 2021 following the resignation of Bret Roberts, she was subsequently elected to a full term in 2022. Before her legislative career, Martinez worked as a staffer for Congressmen Rick Renzi and Paul Gosar, as well as for the Arizona Secretary of State. Her professional background also includes experience as a long-term substitute teacher and work at a Frito-Lay factory. A member of the Republican Party, she has served as the party's political director and has taken conservative stances on issues such as abortion legislation.
