Terry Lee Baker is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 1C, representing parts of Allegany and Washington counties. Before his election to the state legislature in 2022, he had a long career in local government, serving as a member, vice president, and president of the Washington County Board of Commissioners. A former educator and carpentry coordinator, Baker is known for his conservative political stances, including opposition to the Common Core State Standards and the Iran nuclear deal, and he identifies as pro-life. He is also an accomplished distance runner who once placed seventh in the Boston Marathon.
