Thakur Jaivir Singh

Thakur Jaivir Singh is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Barauli constituency. A prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he previously served as a Cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government in 2002 and again between 2007 and 2012. Known for his significant electoral margins, he notably vacated his seat in 2017 to facilitate the entry of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath into the legislature before being re-elected to the Legislative Council in 2018 and the Assembly in 2022.
