Theresa Mah

Theresa Mah is an American politician serving as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 24th district. A member of the Democratic Party, she made history as the first Asian American elected to the Illinois General Assembly. Before her legislative career, she worked as an assistant professor at Bowling Green State University and served as an advisor to Governor Pat Quinn. Mah is a co-founder of the Illinois House Progressive Caucus and is a vocal advocate for immigrant rights, housing equity, and LGBTQ protections.
