Thomas Jung is a German politician, media manager, and journalist who has served as the Lord Mayor of Baden-Baden since April 2026. Before entering local politics, he had a distinguished career in public broadcasting, notably serving as the head of the SWR3 PopUnit and as a political correspondent for the ARD network. He studied political science and German studies at Heidelberg University. Jung is an independent politician who won the 2026 mayoral runoff election with 57.3% of the vote.
