Tim Stevenson is a Canadian politician and United Church minister who served as a Vancouver City Councillor from 2002 to 2018. A founding member of the Vision Vancouver party, he previously served in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, where he became the first openly gay MLA and the first openly gay cabinet minister in Canadian history. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent advocate for social justice and LGBTQ+ rights, including performing the first legal same-sex weddings in British Columbia and successfully lobbying the International Olympic Committee to include sexual orientation in the Olympic Charter.
