Tobias von der Heide

Tobias von der Heide is a German politician and state official serving as a State Secretary in the Ministry for General and Vocational Education, Science, Research and Culture of Schleswig-Holstein since 2025. Previously, he served as a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein from 2017 to 2022 and as State Secretary in the Ministry for Economy, Transport, Labour, Technology and Tourism. A member of the CDU, he has held various leadership roles within the party, including district chair in Kiel. His political career has been marked by advocacy for educational reform, such as the return to the nine-year Gymnasium (G9) system, and early support for the legal equality of same-sex partnerships.
