Tom Butler

Thomas Wayne Butler is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 2nd District. A pharmacist and health underwriter by profession, Butler previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 1982 to 1994. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on issues such as veterans' affairs, education, and public health, including sponsoring legislation to place automated external defibrillators in public schools. A member of the Republican Party, he has taken conservative stances on social and fiscal issues, including voting for stricter abortion regulations and opposing the legalization of medical cannabis.
