Tom Sullivan

Tom Sullivan is an American politician serving as a member of the Colorado Senate, representing District 27. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the Colorado House of Representatives for District 37. Sullivan entered politics following the tragic death of his son in the 2012 Aurora theater shooting, becoming a prominent advocate for gun control, mental health access, and crime victims' rights. His legislative career includes sponsoring the state's 'Red Flag' law and various measures concerning workplace safety and labor protections. Before his political career, he served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years.
