石川智子

Tomoko Ishikawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Chiryu, Aichi Prefecture. Born in Chiryu in 1975, she graduated from Aichi Shukutoku Junior College and previously worked at Nikko Securities before pursuing a career in event moderation. She entered local politics in 2018, serving two terms as a member of the Chiryu City Council, where she held leadership roles in various committees. In November 2024, she was elected as the first female mayor of Chiryu, supported by a broad coalition of political parties and labor organizations.
