Tony Hwang is an American politician serving as a member of the Connecticut State Senate representing the 28th District. Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, he immigrated to the United States as a child and later graduated from Cornell University. Before entering politics, he worked for United Technologies and as a licensed realtor. Hwang served in the Connecticut General Assembly from 2008 to 2014 before his election to the State Senate. Known as a moderate Republican, he has focused on environmental conservation, housing, and transportation policy throughout his legislative career.
