Tony Sheldon is an Australian politician and former trade union leader who has served as a Senator for New South Wales since 2019. Before entering federal politics, he held significant roles within the Transport Workers Union, including serving as National Secretary from 2006 to 2019, where he was noted for his leadership on the 'Safe Rates' campaign. A member of the Australian Labor Party, he has also served as the Special Envoy for Disaster Recovery and as Chair of the Senate Education and Employment Legislation Committee.
