Torsten Zugehör

Torsten Zugehör is a German local politician currently serving as the Lord Mayor of Lutherstadt Wittenberg. After studying law at the University of Leipzig and working as a legal professional and civil servant, he entered local government in 2009 as a deputy mayor. He was first elected as Lord Mayor in 2015 and was re-elected in 2022 with a significant majority. Beyond his municipal duties, he is active in the German Protestant Kirchentag, where he is slated to serve as president for the 2027 event.
