Ulrich Thoden

Ulrich Thoden is a German politician and educator currently serving as a member of the German Bundestag, elected via the North Rhine-Westphalia state list in the 2025 federal election. Before entering national politics, he had a long career as a teacher of English, Latin, and Catholic theology. Thoden has been active in the Education and Science Union (GEW), where he advocated for improved working conditions and pay for educators. Politically, he served as a parliamentary group spokesman for Die Linke in the Münster council and as a deputy state spokesperson for the party in North Rhine-Westphalia.
