Toshiaki Ide is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Nomi in Ishikawa Prefecture. Born in 1962, he graduated from Gunma University before working in the private sector for companies including DIC and Noritake. He began his political career as a member of the Ishikawa Prefectural Assembly, serving three terms starting in 2011. In 2017, he was elected Mayor of Nomi and has since secured re-election for a third term. In 2026, he addressed a workplace harassment scandal involving a city employee's suicide, pledging to improve the municipal working environment.
