Norihiro Nakayama is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and previously worked as a bond dealer at Kankaku Securities before entering politics as a secretary to lawmaker Yoichiro Esaki. Nakayama has held several government positions, including Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he is known for his focus on economic security, advocating for the establishment of a Japanese version of the National Economic Council to counter foreign influence in technology and trade. After losing his seat in the 2024 general election, he was re-elected to the House of Representatives in 2026 via the proportional representation block.
