大岡敏孝

Toshitaka Ooka is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party. Born in 1972 in Koka, Shiga, he graduated from Waseda University and worked at Suzuki before entering politics. His career includes service as a Hamamatsu City Council member and a Shiga Prefectural Assembly member. Since his first election to the National Diet in 2012, he has held various government positions, including Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Finance and Chair of the House of Representatives Committee on Cabinet. Politically, he is known for his conservative stances, supporting constitutional reform, the strengthening of defense capabilities, and the restart of nuclear power plants. He has faced public scrutiny regarding political funding and the receipt of employment adjustment subsidies, for which he has offered apologies.
