Tung Ngo

Tung Ngo is an Australian politician serving as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council since 2014. Born in 1972, he arrived in Australia as a refugee at age ten after spending time in a camp in the Philippines. Before his election to state parliament, he served as a local councillor for the City of Port Adelaide Enfield starting in 1995, becoming the first Vietnamese person elected to local government in South Australia. Throughout his career, he has focused on promoting cultural integration and awareness, and he notably founded the Vietnamese Boat People Monument in Adelaide.
