Ty Mathews

Ty Mathews is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 83rd district. Elected in 2024, he represents Hancock County, Hardin County, and parts of Logan County. Prior to his legislative career, Mathews served as an infantry officer in the United States Army and worked as an assistant to the Ohio State Treasurer. He holds a degree in political science from Cedarville University. In office, he has advocated for congressional term limits, the expansion of Ohio's defense industry, and stricter regulations on the sale of Delta-8 products.
