V. K. Singh

V. K. Singh is an Indian politician and retired four-star general who has served as the 16th Governor of Mizoram since 2025. A former Chief of the Army Staff (2010–2012), he transitioned into politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014. He previously served as a Member of Parliament for the Ghaziabad constituency and held several ministerial positions in the Union Cabinet, including Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Minister of State for External Affairs. He is the author of the autobiography 'Courage and Conviction'.
