Kuniyil Kailashnathan

Kuniyil Kailashnathan is an Indian administrator and the 25th Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, having assumed office on August 7, 2024. A retired 1979-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, he previously served for over three decades in various high-level administrative roles, including as the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Throughout his career, he played a pivotal role in infrastructure development, water management, and urban planning in Gujarat. He holds a postgraduate degree in Chemistry from Madras University and an MA in Economics from the University of Wales.
