V. S. Babu

V. S. Babu is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for the Kolathur constituency. Born in 1951, he began his political career with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), where he served as the North Chennai District Secretary until 2011. After a period with the AIADMK, he joined the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam in 2026. He gained national attention in 2026 by defeating former Chief Minister M. K. Stalin in the Kolathur constituency, securing his seat in the state assembly.
