Новинский, Вадим Владиславович

Vadym Novynskyi is a Ukrainian businessman and former politician of Armenian descent. He served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine in the 7th, 8th, and 9th convocations, representing the Opposition Bloc. A major industrialist, he founded Smart-Holding and held significant stakes in Metinvest. In 2020, he was ordained as a deacon in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, he resigned his parliamentary seat and has faced various legal investigations and sanctions related to his political and business activities.
