Yana Zinkevych is a Ukrainian politician, volunteer paramedic, and military veteran. She is best known as the founder and commander of the Hospitallers medical battalion, which has saved thousands of lives on the front lines since the start of the war in eastern Ukraine in 2014. In 2019, she was elected as a People's Deputy of Ukraine, where she serves as a member of the Committee on National Health, Medical Assistance, and Medical Insurance. Zinkevych has received numerous honors for her humanitarian and military service, including being named to the BBC 100 Women list in 2022 and the Time 100 Next list in 2023.
