Vahap Seçer is a Turkish politician currently serving as the Mayor of Mersin. Born in Tarsus, he graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at Çukurova University and began his career as an entrepreneur in the agricultural and industrial sectors. Before his election as mayor, he served as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for two terms. He was first elected as the Mayor of Mersin in 2019 and was re-elected in 2024 with a significant majority, representing the Republican People's Party.
