Valerie Vaz is a British Labour politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Walsall and Bloxwich since 2024, having previously represented Walsall South from 2010. A qualified solicitor and former Deputy District Judge, she held the position of Shadow Leader of the House of Commons from 2016 to 2021. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has been active in select committees and currently chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Epilepsy. She was appointed to the Privy Council in 2019.
