Prior to his legislative career, he served in various leadership roles within the CHP, including as the party's Central District President and Provincial President for Kırklareli. During his time in parliament, he has contributed to the Environment Commission and served as a member of the Presidential Council of the Grand National Assembly. He is married and has one child.
