Vilas Tare

Vilas Tare is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing the Boisar Assembly constituency. Born into a poor Adivasi family, he entered politics with the goal of driving social change in Maharashtra. He previously served as an MLA for the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi party before joining Shiv Sena. Tare was first elected to the assembly in 2009 and secured re-election in 2014 and again in November 2024, when he defeated the incumbent candidate by a significant margin.
